Plant a tree for #tbt with a free download of "Bring Me To Life"

In honor of throwback Thursday (OMG it’s #tbt), we have a special treat that will awaken the inner-mall goth preteen in all of us. No, I’m not talking about a heavy-hitting jungle remix of “Note To Self” from From First To Last, although that would be fucking sweet (get on it Skrill), I am talking about a smooth, dark, and sexy tribal disco remix of “Bring Me To Life” by Evanescence. Yes, you’re reading that correctly – someone remixed Evanescence and it is surprisingly entrancing and leaps and bounds better than the original. Remixing the track is LA based producer Bijan Malaklou, who made his debut with a hard hitting electro original “Hip Hop Star,” that he co-wrote with Clinton VanSciver. For his Evanescence remix he keeps the super-sad and sexy vocals of Amy Lee intact while providing a dark funky bed of tribal disco to tie things off. This style is something reminiscent of NYC based duo The Golden Pony, who have been giving classics like Simon & Garfunkles “The Sound Of Silence,” a funky breath of fresh air. For his release of “Bring Me To Life,” he is doing a bit of social good and partnered with Tress for the Future to plant a tree with every download of the track. So if you feel as though you’ve exhausted every pornhub video (yes, that’s a thing, read here) and want another way to plant a tree you can by clicking this link here.  Start your day by doing some social good and by pleasing your inner emo with this track. We must warn you though . . . Evanescence will be stuck in your head the rest of the day – so there’s that.

Download the track and plant a tree for free here
