Electronic music producer TOKiMONSTA has become a prominent figure in the Los Angeles music scene due to her superb output of EPs and remixes and her close affiliations to Flying Lotus' Brainfeeder collective (alongside Daedelus, Teebs, Ras G, and other beat scene luminaries). Now the leading female beatmaker has decided to release a two-part video for the track "Soul to Seoul" off of her 2013 release Half Shadows. A collaboration with Maker Music, today's premiere focuses on the first half of the visual feature, which flips through unblinking close-ups of somber characters where the camera slowly pans out to reveal a unique scene. Although simple, the video is beautifully crafted with a careful attention to detail (courtesy of directors Kyle Traynor and Mike V), fully complimenting the ethereal mood of the song.
