Stephen Schmuldt wears many hats. Known as Holborn Circuit, the Chicago-based producer got his start as a multi-instrumentalist with an impressive background in jazz and piano. He's clearly afffected by multiple genres, pulling electro elements and even hinting at reggae rhythms for his latest remix of "Astronaut" by indie pop singer Paris Carney. Holborn Circuit pitches down the vocals and pumps the beat full of effervescent synths, and introduces new melodies to add layer upon layer. He's taken this song apart and rebuilt it into a completely different piece (something RAC would approve of). It's a fun, upbeat rework that leaves listeners forgetting this actually isn't the original tune.
