If there's an act that's never one to rest on their laurels, it's Los Angeles-based Bixel Boys. Less than two years since their impressive Love Like This EP release, the duo has shown an impressive range of production skills in a variety of styles, from an airy progressive remix of The Crystal Method to warehouse techno on "Red October", even stretching as far as an OVO edit pack. Whatever the style of choice, Ian and Rob are striking a perfect balance in a new sound where big room muscle meets underground finesse.
Their latest track has to stir up excitement simply through the title. Kiesza's "Hideaway" has been a breakout house hit, logging YouTube views in the tens of millions with a catchy vocal hook and groovy melody. Add in the Bixel deep house punch treatment, and this crowd favorite becomes a deadly weapon on the dance floor. While there have been a crop of impressive edits, remixes and mashups of this one so far, don't sleep on the Bixel Boys version – another quality offering from one of our most loved up-and-comers.
