As if by magic La Roux returns with "Let Me Down Gently"

It wasn’t long after La Roux released their self-titled debut album that the English duo started to catch popularity. Elly Jackson’s intense voice, their unique musical compositions with distinctive beat along with relatable subject matter drew a lot of international attention landing them performances at music festivals like Osheaga, Coachella and Lollapalooza. Although they saw quick success it’s been a long time since fans have been able to bite into anything fresh.

While remixes have been circulating the last couple years, at long last La Roux has provided fans with a delectable taster of their new album Trouble in Paradise to drop July 7, 2014. "Let Me Down Gently" is the first track of their new album to be released. It’s a smoother and more soulful sounding track than the playful bouncing beat people would normally associate with La Roux. It sounds like the years spent creating this album are going to be well worth the wait for fans if this track is any indication. Their sound has filled out into an addictively uncommon feel.
