After spending years behind the scenes executive producing for the likes of Will Smith and Pitbull, Marc Kinchen aka MK is returning to revive his imprint on the house scene. Last year his remix of Storm Queen's "Look Right Through" topped the UK singles charts, signaling the Detroit-bred producer's return to production in his own right.
His 1992 output "Always" featuring Alana, made its mark 21 years ago, as a chart topping club anthem and last year the formerly mysterious Route 94 revived it with a remix. Now MK is pushing the production once again, giving "Always" another reinvented restoration. Keeping Alana's soul out front, MK turns up the bmps and trades in cascading piano chords from the original for some thumping bass plugs and uplifting synths. Staying true to his deep house roots and his love affair with piano loops MK gives "Always" the opportunity to reach the next generation of house heads.
