When it comes to electro production that balances the best of both funky and melodic, Hot Mouth and Lazy Rich are two names often associated with consistently strong releases. After parting ways from the LA Riots duo, Los Angeles-based Jon Pegnato now plays under the Hot Mouth moniker, and is already charting his second mau5trap release of the year, following "Juxtapose" back in early March. Meanwhile, UK-born, Vancouver-based Lazy Rich has jumped around the label spectrum so far in 2014, with releases on Avicii's LE7ELS imprint as well as his own co-founded project Big Fish Recordings.
This isn't the first crossing of these names either, as both artists have been steady contributors to Chris Lake's Rising Records family. "Flash" comes via the Deadmau5-run label team, known for a brand of gritty electro and progressive. The track is a guaranteed party starter, with cheeky vocal samples and crisp buzzsaw synths. With existing support from the likes of Morgan Page, Bassjackers, and Danny Howard, this one is a surefire set starter for any fun-loving crowd.
