I came across the English trio The Writers Block courtesy of my man MNEK today and after perusing their Soundcloud page, I am an instant fan of the unknown output. What particularly caught my fancy was a tune they posted last week, entitled "Love You (All Over)", which oozes with MNEK's 90s two-step house style. Leading into the tune with some pitched down bass kicks and muffled vocals, the trio deliver an intro that keeps you listening. Incorporating bouncing bass plugs, jazzy hi hats and a soulful vocal hook that hops back and forth between male and female voices, the three-part production team craft a track that will put The Writers Block name on the map.
