Usually when somebody says they like "all types of music," or a common variation, "all kinds except Country," they really mean "I like Top 40 hits and nothing else." For me, this is particularly annoying, especially since I consider my own tastes to hit all across the spectrum (Country is my guilty pleasure).
So, for all of you out there who share a similarly eclectic musical appreciation, this one's for you. Because many genres are so different, which I guess makes sense (they're individual categories for a reason), it can be very difficult to merge them and make something that sounds good. So, when I listened to this new Kygo remix, I was pretty stoked to hear how skillfully the indie and electronic styles we're combined to make one record. Benjamin Francis Leftwich is already one of my favorite artists (check out "Atlas Hands" and you'll know what's up), so right from the beginning, I knew this was going to be a good one. Lucky for you, it's up for your free downloading/listening pleasure, so don't forget to grab a copy, turn it up loud, and soak in the chill, spring vibes.
