Last week’s announcement that UK superduo Disclosure would be heading back into the studio for the bulk of 2014 was bittersweet news to fans old and new. While it means fewer opportunities to catch their stunning soul-meets-party live spectacle, it’s exciting to know a new album is in the works for the brothers that caught the world by storm with Settle. Add in a full remix album, joint work with the legendary Mary J. Blige, and an international tour of more than 40 cities, it’s impressive to watch Disclosure blow up by the day.
But that doesn’t mean Guy and Howard are without a few tricks up their sleeve. This week, a new preview popped up via a Friend Within collaboration entitled “The Mechanism”. Originally debuted during Friend Within’s Essential Mix back in January, it’s a chunky house-garage fusion that fits nicely into Disclosure’s grimier DJ-set style. While the stream is up in full at the moment, you’ll have to wait a few more weeks for this one, out April 15th.
