London based experimental electronic pop trio Beaty Heart is premiering teaser single “Banana Bread” from their upcoming album Mixed Blessings due to be released May 12th via Nusic Sounds. Produced by Dave Eringa, who has worked with other UK artists Manic Street Preachers, Idlewild and even pop superstar Kylie Minogue you already know that it will be good, but Beaty Heart has clearly also done their own work here. “Banana Bread” is full of funky beats and has a light upbeat feel without, which is further complimented with intriguing lyrics.
The overall track is slightly reminiscent of experimental psychedelic band Animal Collective with a distinct (and more poppy) UK influence. With summer tour dates coming up in major music stops LA, San Francisco, New York and Seattle amongst other Beaty Heart will certainly be a band to watch over the next few months (world tour dates available on their official site.)
