And it's for that common disassociation that Voices From The Lake manage to sweep listeners at first listen. Bridging a rounded gap between ambient and sharp sounds, the duo (composed of Donato Dozzy and Neel) have taken their collection of sounds onto the live arena, and managed to pull off beautiful and resonating tones that have the potential to co-exist on the dance floor and the wilderness. After the release of their acclaimed self titled LP for Prologue and the numerous live sets collaborated on, VFTL reconstruct our notions with Velo Di Maya—The Bunker New York's third official release.

Catching even the most tentative follower by surprise was native Berliner, Kobosil, who prepped and issued his third EP under Marcel Dettmann's MDR imprint with an utmost element of secrecy. Marking the label's decagonal pressing, Kobosil's cryptic and neo-psyche approach professes itself in a span of six tracks that earn their grace in the maneuvered suspense that streamlines from track to track. With tracks like "Asle" and "Path" that sound off bewitching rhythms, Kobosil's keen ear for immersing sound design highlight tracks like "Ein" and "There", which do a great job in opening/closing the in-between. Another first-rate release by one of techno's latest names.

While HUSH could have seemed like a one-and-done stint that saw its only release back in 2011, Zak Khutoretsky – aka DVS1 – finally cuts all pause with the release of HUSH02. The two tracker holds a simplicity that has been something of a signature and never failing sound for the producer. While "Lost Myself" denotes a great 4/4 beat with flit chords that pitch high and low, "S.O.S." holds a darker compel that associates itself well as the record's b-side. Both sides posses the soft and padded sounds that demonstrate his uncluttered nature in production. A name many techno connoiseurs have come to trust, HUSH02 keeps that streak alive.

Although Raw Lover Vol. 2 saw it's official 12-inch release a couple months ago, the grooves were too good to pass up once the digital version finally hit webshops on the net. Ringing of nostalgic house dance floors, Italiano producer Samann shoves a refabrication of timeless grooves that still manage to drive clubs wild under his Traxx Underground label. With piano-house classics like "Do You Wanna Dance" and the feverish diva on "Last Vibe In Paris", this EP easily makes the highlight list worth a re-mention. Four tracks burning up a channel, this is that real feel-good music your parents always talk about.

Tsuba Limited has managed to bag Galcher Lustwerk's first official release outside his White Material imprint titled, Nu Day. Although on a new platform, spaced out synths hovering over sensuous beat patterns let us know that this is still a classic Lustwerk operating behind the scenes. Feeling cerebral and hazy at its core, that should not undermine the fact that track "Chillin In The Booth" is one particular track to keep an ear out on a dance floor. A bit mischievous, the suggestive vocals work up a scenario to get to know your dance pal on a more personal level. And for those who wish to rejoice on dreamscape sounds, "Fate" has you covered with retrograded and sultry strings. Another fine release by Lustwerk worth putting in your record collection.
