Adolescent is an artist that is getting ready to release his upcoming EP for KLDSCP Records, which is based out in the UK. Gaining influence from the likes of 90's trip hop, he's released a stunning video to go along with his track "Golden Halls (Part 2)."
The video is so normal at first, and yet each character is distorted and unhuman as the main character runs through several locations. Apparently this is inspired by a Chinese tale that involves a son trying to save his mother from demons, which is done by his preservation of childhood memories. There are definitely demons alright in this video, and not knowing that and watching this at 2:30 in the morning isn't exactly the most calming moment of the night. However, despite my initial WTF moment, this track is stunning, moving, and beautifully elegant.
Check out the EP come May 12th, and for those in the UK, he'll be performing at the Bermuda Triangle in Brighton on May 12th, and the Old Blue Last in London on May 13th.
