Death Rattle refer to themselves as apocalyptic pop, and upon first listen of their newest track "Wait," it definitely resonates deeply to be true. There is something so desolate and haunting about the mesh of vocals and synth laden production that comes together to be something so beautifully tragic.
Hamilton's lyrical genius is profoundly evident, as her light voice carries a large bulk of the heavy lifting, impressing even more than the overall production work. Overall, Death Rattle definitely kill it in this song, and prove that every genre can be bent to stunningly portray a person's artistic vision.
Their next EP, which will feature "Wait," will be out May 5th.
