Based out of Seattle, Kairos is an inspired singer who is just getting started on what should be a steeply inclined road, releasing her first single "Can/Cannot" last week. With a debut self-titled EP due out on May 20 via Fin Records, Lena Simon (Kairos) offers up the video for her first single, telling a story through visuals that showcase the draw towards the beachfront lifestyle. Classically trained on the clarinet, the LA native, wants to prove that she has more than a standout voice as she can just as well jump on the drums, bass, or guitar.
Throughout the video for "Can/Cannot" we are taken from a get together on the beach to a full blown house party with third person shots of Simon venturing through an array of different landscapes added to the mix before letting loose in a group dance. Overall, emotional lyrics are reflected through close-up still images of different characters within the video staring off while Simon as the main character seemingly begins to find her happiness among friends. All the while the instrumentals in "Can/Cannot" allow Simon's vocals to overtake the forefront as they lay the perfect backdrop for the scenery and her driven vocals to lift off of.

Deriving her name from the ancient Greek word KAIROS, meaning the defining moment, Simon is set in a perfect position to draw in a strong following with her fluid style.
