It’s definitely safe to say we are over this winter. And thankfully, we’ve got a beautiful, smooth acoustic track that we can twirl around to in the spring breeze (if that ever gets here). Just a few days after the start of his tour, L.A. native and pop singer Zak Waters is taking off his overcoat and stripping down. Stripping down his latest single “Over You”, that is. His simply dazzling version of the track, off his first debut album Lip Service, feels like a sun shower and is just dripping in soul.
While the lyrics tell of the difficulty moving on from a relationship and the ease of filling the void, this acoustic version is almost like falling in love again. His vocals are the standout here, melting our frosty hearts. And as if we could swoon more, we also get the added bonus to see Waters perform the acoustic version released today on YouTube.
