YOUNG & SICK slips into our psyche with "HEARTACHE FESTISH" [Premiere]

YOUNG & SICK returns with a second mellifluous serenade, this time dropping the tempo down a few steps to a slow march through the surreality of desire. "HEARTACHE FESTISH" comes as the second single off the forthcoming April 8th release for the partially mysterious artist, though the internet has drudged up enough on the guy to give us ample information as to his identity. Suffice it to say he is a multi-platform creator who revels in the variety of his designs and will soon be finding it hard to retain any kind of invisibility from his projects. Weeks ago he played multiple shows during the legendary SXSW festival, took the stage at BUKU last weekend, and will be joining Foster The People on their tour before taking the stage at Coachella and embarking on his own summer tour (see flyer below).

Coming back to the release at hand, "HEARTACHE FESTISH" instantly grabs a listener through simply layered vocals that speak to a sense of humanity. Such soulful lyrics become the song's focus, as ascending synth arpeggios weave between minimal drum work and sparing claps to craft a soundscape made for YOUNG & SICK's message. This is the stuff of music lovers' dreams, so preorder now to make sure you have the rest of the LP when it follows in just a few weeks.
