Quickly, name the first the three things that come to mind when you read/say "Hawaii". For most, word like beaches, surf, great weather, and picturesque come to mind. However after the release of Seppuku Pt. 1, don't be surprised if the names of Jacuzzi and Mr. Carmack take precedence. Having already linked up previously for "Trigger", these two Hawaiian producers take no prisoners with this monstrous, hard-hitting 2-track EP.
Keeping things short and sweet, "Twilight" and "Torture" are the aptly named bass-thumping gifts that make up Seppuku Pt. 1. "Twilight" starts things off with a hazy, industrial intro before diving headfirst into aural violating percussion work and grating synths. Living up to its connotation, "Twilight" attempts to prepare us for the darkness that "Torture" evokes. Maintaining machine-like synths and crisp snares, "Torture" carries no shortage of bass that will have you pleading for mercy but still begging for more. With both "Twilight" and "Torture" registering under 2 minutes long, Jacuzzi and Mr. Carmack give us an appetizer of just how big, and loud, 2014 will be for them both.
