The hard-hitting, wobbly "Hourglass" sonically makes the point that Emerson's got glaring potential. Track 10 of Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, it's just one of the 13 galactic offerings off the LP "envisaged as a soundtrack to an imaginary sci-fi movie" according to French label Cosmonostro.
It's the type of record you could easily add to a workout playlist, a sophomore release by a newcomer that's electronically powerful enough to have been created by a veteran.
