For whatever reason, the L.A. based singer continually wins us over with his smooth, r&b influenced singing and goosebump-inducing falsettos. And it's not just us who are paying attention. His latest tune "Forfeit" premiered via music giant Pitchfork, which suggests that there's something big brewing with this up and coming artist.
The released work he has set out indicates he is quite fond of having a mellow, downtempo-esque style of beat to back his passionate style of singing. Take "Forfeit" for example. The track as a whole is quite minimalistic, in the production sense. There are no over the top effects or out of control beats to elevate your adrenaline. Instead, there is a simple hip-hop beat bumping in the background with aromatic atmosphere and a hint of lo-fi. Blend it all together and you have one refreshing smoothie.
