Two-9, the Atlanta based collective, took no time off last year; with the release of two major projects (Half Forgotten Daydreams and Eastside Paradise 2), non-stop tour dates, and an impressive number of featured credits, the five man team put in some hard work. It isn't surprising then, that 2014 is shaping up to be a big year for the emcees, thanks to the attention that their music is beginning to garner. Curtis Williams, Jace, Ceej, Light Skin Mac 11, and Dav E are ready to take over the game and then some, which makes their latest release so timely.

Super producer Mike Will Made-It presented listeners his debut compilation mixtape, Mike Will Been Trill, featuring a hip hop and pop star ensemble that would have made DJ Khalid blush with jealousy. Two-9 was able to secure themselves a coveted spot on the roster, and made sure not to squander such an important opportunity. When you combine an intense hunger for recognition, with equal parts spectacular production and remastering, you get "Everything".
This new single, freshly re-released and stripped of it's DJ tags, is by far one of the coldest, bass booming, club popping, trap banging singles they have done. Mike Will gifted them with a beat that makes full use of his 808's and synthesizer, which will keep you bobbing your head and mean grilling. Curtis delivers a great hook—a mantra that they surely live by—screaming that they are coming after "everything", as the kick drums thunder and the hi hats snap behind him. Jace blacks out on this track, spitting some of his hardest bars double time, as if he was quickly escaping the scene of a crime. His anxious flow complements Mike Will's slower production, because it allows him to stuff as many memorable lines into his verse as possible.
The crew never stays still for long, so you can expect that this will be the first of their many singles to come. If you haven't been keeping up, you can head down to their soundcloud, where you can find their previous work. Keeping an eye out for the crew is a smart idea, they seem to be gearing up to take the game by storm.
