No "Shame" in listening to Mas Ysa

Thomas Arsenault, a.k.a. Mas Ysa, has a musical style all his own, and his track "Shame" is a good example of just how unique he is as a musician. "Shame" combines glitchy electronic textures and edgy vocals that blend to create an eerie backdrop as the song commences. Suddenly, the track crescendos into an opus of synths, drums, and soaring vocals. When listening to Mas Ysa, the band  M83 comes to mind, but the production style is a bit different. It took me a few listens to really catch the full vibe of "Shame," but now I totally feel it.

Mas Ysa is staying busy in the month of February. Next week, he will have his official launch party at Glasslands Gallery in Brooklyn, New York for his Worth EP. He'll also hit the road for a brief West Coast tour, a smart choice for this time of year with all of the snowstorms on the east coast. Mas Ysa is a young, talented artist who seems to fit right into the current musical landscape. Check out "Shame" below and look for Mas Ysa at a venue near you.
