Hailing from the Eastern European nation of Slovenia, UMEK has come to be a staple in the electronic scene. Last year, he took the main stage at EDC Las Vegas, a spot normally held for the heavy electro progressive acts that bring crowds flocking to the festival. However, UMEK asserts that the understated rhythms of tech house and techno have just as much to do with the scene as any other genre. Today he again teams up with Spanish DJ and producer Groovebox, a now notorious name due to his high profile collaborations and high quality originals. "Sweet Nothing" pays homage to one of the most famous house tunes of the 21st century, that being "Alright" by the Belgian electronic trio Red Carpet, but with a focus on techy beats and a progressive rhythm.
