Earlier this week Lane 8, a San Francisco-based producer who gained recognition in the city's underground house scene throughout 2013, revealed his latest work a two-part EP entitled The One. Coming fresh off the release of "Be Mine" on French Express, Lane 8 has lead straight into the new year with some deep productions, proving his talents behinds the decks.

The EP starts off with the title track, a slow-building deep-drifting production with a growling bassline. The highlight from the two piece EP, "The One" features lyrics from house music's seemingly go-to male vocalist Patrick Baker, who has also been heard on productions from Satin Jackets, Touch Sensitive and Rogue Vogue as well. Together the two deliver fans a sprawling output with an infectiously uplifting feeling, making for one of the best productions heard from Lane 8 yet. Following "The One" Lane 8 aka Daniel Goldstein brings listeners "Nothing You Can Say" featuring vocals from Lucy Stone. Veering into the sounds indie-pop with this one, the West Coast producer showcases his versatility, crafting a subtle yet captivating synth-driven beat.

The extended play comes to listeners courtesy of Anjunadeep, the melodic-leaning sub-label of trance legends Above & Beyond and is set for a February 10 release date.
