What a gem. Day in and day out, we're flooded with a number of email submissions – a positive problem, of course. It makes it that much more rewarding when we stumble onto tracks like this one, a beautiful cross between slow-burning R&B and electronic pop. Ed Thomas is a glaringly obvious example of yet another gifted songwriter behind the scenes who shouldn't remain solely in the background.
The British singer/songwriter has worked with both veterans Chase & Status and newcomers Bondax (if we can really still call them that), and wielded the pen on the latter's last single "Giving It All". He's released two singles on his own, the first of which was the funky "On My Own," a track draped with disco R&B vibes.
About two lovers in the midst of fighting, "Hurt" is a gorgeous record bound to affect you. Breathe with me, breathe with me now.
