When a song really touches you and makes you just zone out, it's a truly wonderful thing. That is exactly what happened the first time I heard the latest from London native Kwabs, "Wrong Or Right". The SOHN-produced track is both beautifully melodic, with disjointed synths and shuffling hi hats carrying the track along, and soulfully touching, as Kwabs's voice brings pain and joy together as one. Kwabs bridges the gap between the passionate and stirring R&B vocals that he produces and the gritty, electronic world of SOHN, creating a truly memorable piece of modern soul.
The visuals for "Wrong Or Right", released this week, depict the bleakness of council estate life in London, but are livened up by the appearances of dancers, dancing across various spots around the city. The visuals fit really well with the tracks electronic roots, whilst still managing to be atmospheric in places.
