UK's Disclosure's distinct style and sound have dubbed them as one of the most prominent figure's in today's garage and dance music, but it's been relatively clear since day one that they are heavily influenced by hip hop as well. Between clever sampling, remixes, and their BBC Essential Mix last year, it's been obvious that while their core staple is to make songs that fuse dance, pop, and garage, they're ready to push forth on their creative work.
With this in mind, it seems that Guy and Howard have teamed up with New York's Bishop Nehru to create a track that goes off the beaten path from the usual Disclosure sound. Taking in a classic, old-school style, the boys create a simple hip hop beat, and let Bishop Nehru speak volumes here.
Comments on the Soundcloud player include "so dope" and "love it," so it seems that audience reaction is ace on this one. 2014 seems to be a shift in style for the brothers, and Bishop Nehru's lyrical work seems to have managed to please fans of both dance and hip hop.
This track is set to be released via Method Records, although no date has been publicly set.
