Taking over BBC Radio 1 earlier today James Blake surfaced a slew of new material for his fans to maul over in the coming weeks. Blake had initially stated that he was going to interview the mysterious producer Burial during his residency show, which turned out to be a hoax, however he made up for the trickery by playing a brand new original song entitled "40455".
Throughout "40455" Blake utilizes the combination of his voice and the piano in a familiar fashion, harnessing emotion through each drawn out note. The addition of a pulsing high-hat adds a minimalistic beat where other digital effects chime in to add to the overall wistful vibe.
