To promote their recent LP on No Shame Records, the Russian indie funk band Pompeya are releasing a remix album of the three tracks. One in particular, "Slaver" remixed by Psychemagik (pictured above), stands out above the rest for its combination of the dark funk style of the late 70's and the modern obsession with bass-laden grooves. Despite the comparison, Psychemagik's style is thoroughly original with an established voice that is instantly recognizable for those who know them.
