Merk & Kremont vs. Amersy – "Charger"

The first release in 2014 from DOORN Recordings is a lovely way to begin the year for the Dutch dance music label. Showcasing two fairly new but talented artists, "Charger" is a memorable progressive house club track that's been supported on radio shows and will continue to be heard on our way into the new year. "Charger" is a virtual collaboration between Italian duo Merk & Kremont, who are well on their way to making their mark in the house arena with another Dutch label release, and up and coming Russian producer Amersy. The first thing that really caught my ear about this track was gritty, nostalgic sounding progression that comes in after the beat drops, where the guys show a real talent in taking that familiar sounding acidic melody and making it sound updated, so much that it sounds completely fresh.
