It's Friday morning on the second week of December, which for a lot of young people, means the end of the treacherous week-long journey known as finals week. In keeping with the nervous scatter that begins to be the brains of college students, Boxcutter has managed to come out with a fast-bpm and experimenting with the uptempo world.
What results is a majestic exploration of sounds that go perfectly in line with Cosmic Bridge, the label this has been released under. While I joke about finals week, the track we've premiered today, "Dream Gator (With Ken & Ryu)" is a combination of frantic highs and melodic lows that keep the listener intertwined with the track the entire time. Fast paced songs can often be a recipe for disaster, but Boxcutter managed to use just the right ingredients to come up with this gem.
