Earlier this year, Axwell’s “Center Of The Universe” solo return was a breath of relief to most fans of the progressive legend. As the in-your-face hype of Swedish House Mafia’s worldwide takeover started to cool off, Axwell got back to what he does best: signature piano house with strong chords and euphoric vocals. With a radio friendly edit, an easy-going remode version, and a big room synth-laden remix from Blinders, this single had a few different flavours.
Months after its original release, Danish producer Toby Green releases his secret tech-house bootleg under the self-proclaimed style of “arena tech”. Complete with thick drums and thumping percussion while still preserving the delicate breakdowns, it’s the kind of sound we’ve heard from another Scandinavian in the post-SHM era via Steve Angello’s Size X label. While you may know Green for his electro collabs with Henry Fong on “Revival” and “Hot Steppa”, this change in direction is a welcomed one. Go grab the free download from Toby’s Facebook page.
