Jordan Lee, a.k.a. Mutual Benefit, has spent the past few years living in Ohio, Austin, and Boston spreading his musical message. He allocated the majority of his time to the road, playing his songs for music lovers in intimate venues. Some settings were especially cozy: basements and living room gatherings.
Lee has an innate storytelling ability and conveys his emotions vividly as a singer/songwriter. His earnest lyrics strike a chord deep down that I haven’t felt from a folk artist in quite some time. His heartfelt vocals, accompanied by banjo plucking, piano, violin, and acoustic guitar, set the mood for a truly awe-inspiring music video. I wish my family had this much fun together during the holidays. You'll soon see what I mean.
