Our friends in Australia have been on a roll lately, spurning out quality musicians left and right in all genres, showing us that the bands from down under mean business. Today I bring you modern blues/pop singer Molly Contogeorge with her new EP Dames. The 4-track EP is a wonderful set of passionate, soulful, yet distant songs that are a soft reminder of the motown era. Molly's voice is that of something you would hear out of Burlesque, swooping and gliding across the track with spot on placement.
Dames is Molly's most ambitious drop yet, toppling her others by making listeners reflect upon themselves with her lyrics. Molly’s sound has evolved as her tracks were downloaded by over 100 community stations nationwide through the AirIT/Amrap independent initiative including FBI and Triple J. “Dames” has received stand out reviews from over fifteen blogs and magazines both here in Australia and overseas.
