Remember the days when people said that they wanted real rap back? The same people that wanted those classic 90's flavours to return to the music that they love instead of all the 808's and booty clappin' anthems we hear nowadays. Well, as if the likes of Joey Bada$$ and his Pro Era homies weren't enough to satisfy their nostalgic taste buds, it seems that New York natives the A$AP Mob are making the kind of music that inspired them to pick up the mic and spit bars.
The Mob have just released the video for their latest track, "Trillmatic", which features the legendary New York rapper Method Man alongside A$AP Nast. Both rappers combine to make a truly memorable track, as Nast and Meth take it in turns to drop verses, with Nast showing that, although Rocky and Ferg have probably had more attention on them, people should definitely not overlook him, as he delivers a cold flow throughout both his verses and a hook that is sure to get ingrained into your head. Method Man lays down his verse in equally smooth style, which is what we have all come to expect from the Wu-Tang emcee. The boom bap-like beat comes courtesy of fellow A$AP Mob member Ty Beats, who mixes a slick sample with some bangin' drums to create an instrumental that oozes those 90's New York vibes.
