Disclosure released "Voices" on their critically acclaimed 2013 debut album Settle, which received serious praise for production way beyond their years. Brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence, 22 and 19 respectively, top charts in the UK and around the world, giving garage and throwback 90s inspired hip-hop an unexpected revival. "Voices"features vocals from fellow English singer Sasha Keable and follows that exact equation incorporating hip-hop-esch drum kicks into a dreamy house beat.
Now, the emerging LA-based Le Youth aka Wes James is giving the track an energetic rework, mixing in some cascading piano chords to give "Voices" a poppy restoration. Coated in Le Youth's signature R&B laced house sound, the West Coast producer revamps "Voices", transforming it from a laid back production into a tireless dance floor beat.
