Though I like to be as thorough in my musical searching as possible, tagging something as minimal on Beatport will usually cause a release to miss my usual sweeping internet search. Such is the case with the latest form Daniel Portman, whose minimal electro EP Crusader came out this week on Unreleased Digital. If you're unfamiliar with the Swiss producer, he's a pioneer and a legend in the minimal production world, and the infinite inspiration behind Crusader is definitely a sign as to why. Pulling from multiple cultures and themes across the Middle Ages, Cruasader is a genre bending journey down a thematic film script of an EP through the worlds of electro, house and dubstep.
