Having established themselves as one of the success stories of 2013, Scottish synth-pop trio CHVRCHES take a glance back to where it all started with the release of their latest single, “Lies”. Initially premiered on NYC tastemaker blog Neon Gold back in May of last year, “Lies” was the first CHVRCHES song to surface and the track that sparked a wave of hype, paving the way for their acclaimed debut LP, The Bones Of What You Believe. Reworked and remastered, the updated version of “Lies” is still defined by the same crashing beats and spiky synths, but now comes complete with a newly found sheen and a bleak, dystopian music video.

With Lauren Mayberry’s vocals remaining very much at centre stage, Tourist’s remix is a lesson in restraint. Building around a subtle piano loop, layers of intricate percussion gently nudge the track into an effortlessly epic, head-nodding crescendo. Currently, there's little information available about a US release, but Tourist’s "Lies" remix will hit record stores in the UK on 2nd December.
