The mysterious London-based Route 94 returned to fans with a new original production "My Love," late last week. The track is set to be featured on the Annie Mac Presents 2013 compilation due out October 14. Annie Mac, the infamous BBC Radio 1 DJ, has been rounding up her picks for her yearly album since 2009 and this year Route 94 is accompanied by the likes of Duke Demont, Disclosure, Jesse Ware and Grum to name a few.
"My Love"features vocals from fellow-Londoner, Jess Glynne and follows the same disco 4×4 feeling listeners have previously heard from Route 94. Letting Glynne's soulful voice take the lead to start the track, the unknown producer gives fans a pulsing piano-driven beat with rhythmic house sensibility. Proving less can be more, he crafts a simple production allowing the complexity of precisely placed piano-chords to create an infectious beat.
