You need only look at the success of his most recent EP Good Times and Dead Brain Cells—which shot straight up to number 2 in the iTunes U.K Hip-Hop chart—to realize that this undeniably versatile and talented Bradford spitter is the the main man for his time and place.
In the past, we've seen a hundred examples of how battle rappers can struggle when it comes to the transition into making music; Lunar C not only breaks this cycle – he rips the chain off. His unapologetically filthy puns and metaphors possess all the off-the-wall pizzazz of Eminem’s earliest and rawest rhymes, with a work rate comparable to that of a young sweat shop employee. His brand new video for “Contradict”, courtesy of Major Kuts, shows clips of Lunar on the road lighting up the U.K festival circuit this summer, with notably huge performances at Reading and Leeds.
One thing’s for certain; no one could have ever seen Hip-Hop and a West Yorkshire accent being such a deadly combination, but now our eyes have been opened, there’s no telling what Lunar’s capable of.
