Never a man to let the summer vibes disappear with another end to the season, California boy Viceroy is back with another edition of his daytime disco sound. This time it comes as a remix of fellow statesmen Hunted Hunted, an indie rock duo with the kind of laid-back harmonies that few in the dance music world would think to re-touch. While it's a bit of a departure from the tropical party themes in remixes of Bixel Boys' "Love Like This" or Montell Jordan's beautifully cheesy "This Is How We Do It", its impossible not to be drawn to the warmth of "Keep Together". It's the kind of track that may be the soundtrack to the closing credits of your summer highlight reel, half-reflective and half-satisfied, all at a tempo that allows one last breath of summer air.
As the deeper, groovy sounds begin to flourish in popularity, it's clear that the self-proclaimed "Dance Game Jimmy Buffet" can innovate within his own smooth sound. Add in a roster of tracks that are available for free download and it's a sure fire path to mass fan popularity. Live on summer.
