Maryland native Black Zheep DZ curated the visuals for his "Whatchu Sayin" track. The audio released in the late summer months and just has now seen a video treatment. The wait was worth it to fans of Black Zheep and his Floor Villains collective from Maryland. At 20 years old he unleashed his ZHEEP mixtape and was met with comparisons to A$AP Mob and Raider Klan who he worked with. The video is directed by Black Zheep himself and was shot DUBRC Films.
The DMV sound isn't widely known to the outside world, so it would seem that artists like Zheep and his counterparts are gunning to change that and pave the way for a new sound from Maryland. We will have to keep watch in the coming months and see what they have up their sleeves. Until then watch the video for "Whatchu sayin" below.
