West Virginia's D-WHY is back with another song to add to his growing catalog of folk meets 2013 hip hop,embodying the classic All-American lifestyle while still incorporating his hip-hop foundation. The sample used in "One Day", which was made popular by Asaf Avidan, ranks on a short list of samples that are able to create an instant feeling of comfort and nostalgia in my books. D-WHY fans have missed these heart felt raps from the southern kid but also appreciate his quality over quantity approach.
"One Day" will be on his upcoming project Young,Loved,Hated and Broke. This is the follow up to his respectfully well received release Don't Flatter Yourself. Pioneering what is easiest described as folk trap D-WHY is having fun with his music and venturing into uncharted waters. Live shows are very important in todays interactive music scene. Songs like this with its fusion of trap, folk, rap are bound to have live crowds riled up and relishing Mr. WHY's presence.
