It may be September, but summer isn't really over. That's what you can tell yourself while you're listening to Summer Camp's dance rework of Fyfe's beautifully solemn "Solace" track. Formerly known as David's Lyre, British musician Paul Dixon steadily continues to pump out beautifully heartbreaking records over atmospheric production. His Solace EP harbored songs like "St. Tropez" and "Lies," as well as the title track. Just in time to preserve what's left of the summer, Jeremy Warmsley of Summer Camp (appropriately named) completely revamps the melancholy record, adding a jazzy bass line along with shifting percussion. When Fyfe wistfully sings, "I know I'm insecure, but I've been wasting away/solace comes like I hoped it would/lovers overcome things I didn't know that they could," Jeremy helps lighten the mood so you can still add it to a dance playlist. The "Solace" Summer Camp remix will be on Fyfe's Remixes EP, due out September 8th. The EP will feature a remix of each track on the 4-track Solace EP by the likes of Summer Camp, Fryars, Kulkid and Deafkid. Fyfe is set to headline Birthdays in London on September 4th after selling out his live debut show at Sebright Arms.
