Los Angeles favorite Pipes, a combination of the amazing DJ Stevie B and vocal wonder Matty P, have come forth and brought out the jacking track to begin closing out the summer with. The track combines the Northern California hyphy trend (or the remains of that style and sound anyways) and puts together the energetic flow of the Southern half of the state, culminating in what could best be described as everything awesome going on musically in California this year.
The track debuted in their Boiler Room set a couple weeks back to great response, and it's a pretty sweet gift to receive during the slump that is the middle of the week. "Gas Pedal" was a great song without any remixing to begin with, but this version cranks it up and brings a new life to the hit Bay Area song.
According to their Soundcloud, they've got upcoming releases on Body High Records and Boys Noize Records, two hard-hitting, yet incredibly different labels. They've also worked closely with Bromance, releasing a mixtape and a single with them. Overall, Pipes has had a strong year that's only looking to be get even better.
