It's always great to start the week with some brand new music, and The Weeknd has come through with the goods. The Canadian native has dropped another new track off his highly anticipated debut album Kiss Land. "Live For" has all the usual traits of a Weeknd track, with atmospheric drums and synths that give you chills beneath the warm and sometimes shrill vocals of Abel. After a photo surfaced a few weeks back of The Weeknd and his fellow Torontonian Drake in the studio together, it appeared that both of them had put their differences aside and started to make more music. This track could be one of the results of that, as the OVO rapper drops in a verse to give The Weeknd a helping hand.
The Weeknd and Drake have worked together previously, on tracks such as "Crew Love" and "The Zone", and if this song is anything to go by, they are back on form together. Both artists have albums coming out in September, The Weeknd's Kiss Land is due out September 10th and Drake's third album Nothing Was The Same is set to drop the week after on September 17th.
