New York-via-Austin, Texas punks Parquet Courts are set to follow up their smart-aleck debut Light Up Gold this fall with an EP called Tally All The Things That You Broke. The EP's first single, "You've Got Me Wonderin' Now" finds the band revisiting much of the formula that made Light Up Gold such an explosive debut. Breakneck guitar chords are held together by tightly knit drums as singer Andrew Savage reels off a series of quotable lyrics, comparing a broken heart to a number of other unpleasant feelings like toothaches, seasickness and sunburns. The song also features a recorder of some sort, a welcome introduction to Parquet Courts repertoire. Tally All The Things That You Broke sees release on October 8 via What's Your Rupture?
