Summer is fleeting, but New York-based producer Codes is keeping fans partying with a free download a week as part of his Heat Wave release series. Beginning yesterday (and continuing until the end of summer), Codes dropped an amped up remix of Breach’s “Jack”. Playing on the almost hypnotic beat set by Breach, Codes speeds up the original track to give it a more dance-heavy and summery vibe. Simple, but with a definite groove, the “Jack” remix is funkier than the original, making it easy to hear why Codes tags his original style as Brooklyn Bounce. Less than two weeks into August, Codes has officially set the bar high for a month of new releases.
