Anders Dixen is UNKWON, a Copenhagen-based "bedroom raver". We thought his re-work of Rough Days for Diamond Trade was a perfect example of this genre he coins "bedroom rave", messing with our emotions and altering our states. "Somehow" was originally a dark pop and minimalist electronic track, taken from the Somehow EP, released on Looking Forward in December of last year. Almost a year later (on September 5 2013), Rough Days for Diamond Trade will release the Somehow Remixed EP (also with Looking Forward) , including UNKWON's fabulous rendition.
This track epitomizes the sound of a wounded heart and the repercussions of melancholia, all paralleled into an electronic entity. UNKWON doesn't dramatize our mood, but instead leaves us in solitude, if you do so let him. Sometimes all you need is a track like this to loosen you up and end your day on an introspective note.
