When you discover a new artist and love their tracks, two things can happen: either you’re excited for a time and quickly forget about them when you realize their next productions don’t match your expectations (that occurs to me a lot); or they can impress you with each of their releases, and leave you waiting for the next. That’s what I experienced with Wet Paint. The first listen I had to "Whenever, really" some months ago had left me starving and, though they haven’t released a lot of new stuff since, I've never despaired to hear a new amazing original track from them.
The Halifax based duo will be releasing a brand new EP in September called Warm Nights, and "Exhale" is the first single off of it. More than ever, their sound reflects one of their biggest inspirations, aka Pretty Lights, and let me tell you that’s a good thing.
Warm Night will be available for free download, and it’s safe to say it’s going to be huge, so stay tuned.
